French Broad Fridays

The Downtown Marshall Association, Madison County TDA and the Marshall Parks and Recreation Department present the 5th annual summer event series, French Broad Fridays. Downtown businesses open late, free carriage rides, face painting, music, special menus, at Zuma and Good Stuff and fun for kids of all ages.

June 1, 2012, 5pm. Mermaids in Marshall Parade of mermaids, pirates and sea creatures of all kinds, prizes for best float, best costume, and more. Tour the renovated SECU building. Enjoy Sarah Tucker (winner of The Brown Bag Competition) performing on the island stage at 5pm, Pleasure Chest, and Shake It Like A Caveman on the courthouse steps at 7pm, Peace Jones performing at Good Stuff at 8pm.

July 13, 2012, 5pm. Bike-a-licious Parade, prizes for best bikes, vintage bike show/swap. Tour the courthouse. Enjoy Rooftop Pedestrian performing on the island stage at 5pm and Sons of Ralph performing on the courthouse steps at 7pm.

August 10, 2012, 5pm. Dog Daze. Parade of dogs with prizes for various attributes. Hot Dog eating contest! Enjoy Steve Garrison and The Skylanders on the island stage at 5pm and The Screamin’ J’s on the courthouse steps at 7pm.
